Hi guys and welcome to my site. I don’t really know where to begin so here it goes,

My name is Austin Whisnant and I like to write ( You’re off to a great start Austin), other things I like include investing in the stock market, real estate, and science. (Feels more like im writing a tinder profile then a blog) I’m starting a blog in order to express my thoughts on these topics as well as create content for your enjoyment, maybe along the way I can teach any one who actually reads this something and ideally I would like to connect and learn from other people with the same interests. Now you may be asking (You probably aren’t but im going to tell you anyways), If you’re going to be writing about these topics what is your experience with them? I’m glad you asked let me answer those below!

Stocks

I currently own a Robinhood portfolio valued around $2,726.09. Sorry, I’m not a millionaire, if your looking for one of those “Hi i’m millionaire Joe and I’ll teach you everything I know in my course valued at $1,099.99” this isn’t the place to be. My portfolio is averaging 12.31% growth per year which i’m content with. I consider myself to be a dividend growth investor considering I only invest in stocks with, you guessed it, dividends. Real Estate

I’m going to be straight up honest with you here. I have absolutely no experience in real estate other than the fact that I own a house. However, this topic is something that I’m extremely interested in and want to get involved in. So much so that I begin my real estate class in February to earn my provisional brokers license. I’m excited to pass the information that I learn on to you. From there I hope to sell a few houses and use the commissions to start investing.

Science

When I say science I really mean Biology. My whole life I always wanted to be a doctor but when I actually got into college I fell in love with the science and not the application of it. So, I’m not a doctor but I am 22 years old with my Bachelors of Science in Cell / Molecular Biology and as I stated before I own a house. Again, not a doctor but I think I’m doing pretty good for myself. I also own and create all the content for bio-buddy.org, a scientific community built by students for students. I started it while I was in college so yes even though i’m not a student now I can still say that.

So that’s enough about me, If I’ve intrigued you enough to stay and read then great I can’t wait to connect with you and grow a network of like minded individuals.
